Level 3 Certificate in Domestic On Construction Energy Assessment

On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (OCDEA) L3
Every newly built domestic dwelling in the UK requires an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) before being sold or let. As an On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (OCDEA) you will have the skills and knowledge to complete energy calculations using Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) software to produce a new build EPC.

The course is conducted over 5 days and is classroom based. During the week Learners will carry out 5 off plan SAP assessments and complete all of the portfolio assignments so you can be confident everything will be completed within the 5 days. Once the portfolio has been assessed and verified you will be issued with your Diploma Certificate within 7 -10 days of completion.

The course tutors are experienced and qualified On Construction Energy Assessors who all hold A1, V1 and PTLLS qualifications to ensure a quality assessment process and the completion of a robust portfolio of evidence.

Day 3

Analysis of architectural drawings
U-value calculator exercise
First Off Plan EPC assessment
Second Off Plan EPC assessment
Data input into SAP software
Complete reports and EPCs

Day 4

Third Off Plan EPC assessment
Data input into SAP software
Fourth Off Plan EPC assessment
Data input into SAP software
Complete reports and EPCs

Day 5

Last Off Plan EPC assessment
Data input into SAP software
Complete portfolio assignments

As a trained and qualified OCDEA you will be given the appropriate tools and preparation to produce accurate energy assessments for these newly built properties which sometimes can be off plans. You will need to register with a professional accreditation body where you will be fully supported.
