Green Deal Overview

Green Deal Advisor (GDA) L3
The purpose of a Green Deal Occupancy Assessment is to determine the actual usage of energy in the home based on the number of people living there along with their associated behaviour in respect of heating, washing and lighting usage. This makes it necessary to conduct the interview at the property with the ‘bill payer’; the person who pays the heating bills.

This is called an Occupancy Assessment and a Green Deal Advice report is required for some funding programmes, such as the Feed in Tariff (FIT) Energy Company Obligation (ECO and the Renewable Heating Incentive (RHI)

There are certain circumstances when the RdSAP methodology is not appropriate; in the case of new builds, conversions from commercial to residential property, Public buildings and commercial properties. This is not an exhaustive list.
